"I've worked here for less than a year when I got another offer elsewhere, but when I was working here, the environment was definitely really poor and uninviting. Most people there seemed miserable to work there and there was a huge lack of help. The superiors were great, but otherwise, I didn't meet anyone who wanted to stay there."

As a Software Engineer for BAE, I deployed 6 IBM blades when upgrading a single blade to the Quincy 5 database for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)/NMEC. In addition to managing the upgrade, I also used Python to automate how a single blade managed the user community's query queue. Now, a single blade manages the entire queue."

"I liked receiving a pay check every two weeks, and not much else."

"Stay away, keep looking, it might be fine to keep from starving, but don't plan on sticking around."

What don't you like about working at BAE Systems?

"They don't seem to care about employees, anytime there is a small interruption in contracts for no reason other than a slow approval process they are in a hurry to lay us off, and then can't answer our questions about all the little things that need to be taken care of in that situation."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Have a better plan for interruptions in contracts than hurried layoffs."

"Nurturing atmosphere; Great group of engineers to work with; Agile processes"

"Ask for long-term roadmap,i.e., what future projects are on the horizon"

"The division hasn't won any new contracts lately. Lack of long-term roadmap"

"Better manage Research and Development to win more projects for the company"
