The only reason I am not still there is because of company cutbacks due to a lack of work due to the economy. Otherwise I rank job security there an A. They really try their best to find new projects and retain good workers."

"The general work ethic is do the job enough to put in an 8 hour day, if I keep manually fixing thngs that could be automated that gives me job security. If I fix it then I am not needed for this and my job may not be secure."

"I don't dislike BAE Systems. Their Cafeteria could use some work though."

"I suggest that management try to focus their attention on the individual skills of each employee since their skills sets increase very quickly. Many times, the managers do not know their people's skill sets."

"I loved the fast pace and the challanges. I also loved the reason I was there, for the soldiers in the Middle East."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"My tips for those interviewing for this company is to ask the questions on stability of your position. Also, when they tell you it is a 40 hour work week, dont be so sure, because my average work weeks consisted of 50+ hours, and was still told it wasnt enough. Make sure that this is what you want, because you will live there. Remember, its for the soldiers."

What don't you like about working at BAE Systems?

"It was impossible to move up the ladder if others felt threatend by you. Also, there is alot of nepotism. I lost my position due to my head boss's 10 year friend needed a job, so I got booted and I was out of work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My suggestion to management is to LISTEN to the employees that have the knowledge and experiance. Sometimes, having a Bachelor Degree does not always mean they know more."
