"Working with AT&T overall was a very positive experience for me. I learned how to work within a team, my strengths as well as weaknesses. My co-workers helped to make the workplace more enjoyable aside from the many pressures of working in a call center environment. Best part of the job was being able to assist customers with their technical issues and insuring the service they're paying for is working. Like any call center there's always the ups and the downs."

Working at AT&T in Montgomery, AL: 2 Employee Reviews

Network Sales Engineer

"Run, Forrest, Run!"

What do you like about working at AT&T?

"The time off."

What don't you like about working at AT&T?

"AT&T has no respect for the individual in spite of much posturing of how valuable their employees are to the company. Expect a muddled career path at best, incompetency at the highest levels, great distrust of upper management and constant job insecurity and you have a snapshot of life at AT&T. Working for BellSouth was my dream job and I loved it. When BellSouth merged with AT&T, though, my job quickly became hell on earth. AT&T excelled at finding the hardest and stupidest way to install a product. Installation procedures at BellSouth were a 10-page document that included a quick-glance job aid consisting of one page of bullet points. AT&T had a 50-page document that included a quick glance job aid consisting of 10 pages of bullet points. Inefficiency at its best!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop sacrificing customer service at the altar of becoming a global company. Customers really do matter and it's time you started treating them with respect. Don't forget, they pay your salary!"
