"American Financial Network is a good company, but they are having growing pains. I was a previous loan officer. The processors handling my loans were not responsive. It took my loans 60 days to close a simple refinance or purchase."

"American Financial Resources is a great for entry level positions into mortgage. There is room for growth but they are very selective of who they choose. Nonetheless, it is a great work environment and the people within the company develop a strong sense of camaraderie that's necessary in all workplaces."

"As a company they are growing and providing loan services unfortunately the growth is something they are only focusing on with one aspect of the business and poorly managed the operational/processing side of the business to the extent that it adversely effects the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner"

"I feel this is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned or intermediate Mortgage Loan Officer. The company compensation is more than adequate and the benefits are very good. Finally, the marketing is better than other companies I have worked for. No "cold calling" or misdirection with unrealistic promises are offered. If I was to find an issue i would say it is in the approach. Many people do not take time to fully read the mail pieces and they are put off when they find out they have to refinance. I feel if the mail was more straightforward we would have more quality over quantity."

"I had worked for American Financial Group during my last summer of college. It was by far the best company I'd ever worked for. The people were outstanding, the job was thorough, and the opportunities were endless. The reason I chose to leave American Financial Group was because my internship had ended and it was time for my wings to expand outside of Ohio. I knew I needed to work for a progressive and data-wired company with interestS in growing and evolving."

"I worked there for over two years and disliked the place the whole time. The work schedule flexibility and vacation package was great but the management in IT seems to have a lot of turnover and no direction. The management staff want all of IT to be a team but then make decisions for the whole team without communicating to the whole team. This is not the worst company to work for but I have worked at better."

"I worked for AFS for over a decade. The atmosphere is very good usually the managers are present and available when you need them and good at helping/resolving issuesThe company is going though a hard time now (2013) with staff reductions, not sure if the company will survive long. Is the only negative I can say."
