"I don't like when a company tells your finished at a site and you will have to see about contacting them to try to find another site when you just get off work."

"The reason for this review is the lack of communication and lack of leadership among the management at Allied Universal. A schedule change needs to be clearly communicated from the employer to the employee. I never received a phone call, a text message or an email yet they tried to intimidate me and blame me for not showing up to a shift only management decided to change without any knowledge of this change granted to the employees. The worst part is that management did not own up to their mistake they continued to throw blame at the employee. Allied Universal the managers don't know and don't care about the employees that do a productive and good job from the less productive and unreliable workers. Some employees earn more money per hour for doing the exact same job as someone else who is receiving less pay. It is possible to find a position where you make it work so it isn't the worst job in the world but I know it isn't the best. Another issue is that the management goes over what is said instead of the facts. If someone is using the restroom and it is reported that the person is not at their job management already assumes you violated company rules.. The real violation is denying someone to take a dump when they need to!"

"If i could give 0 stars, i really would. My partner has been working here for about a year and a half, and this has been hands down the worst employer I have ever come across. The "captains" (post supervisors) have horrible communication skills, and they seem to all have anger problems or bipolar moods. We have had to beg and plead and fight to be given a shift with hours enough to survive, because if it were up to them, you'd work 1 day a week, or they would just throw you to whatever post needs a shift covered when someone calls out. Good luck trying to get any specific days off. At time of onboarding, we were told in order to get any days approved off, we must request 2 weeks in advance. My partner request days 1+ month in advance, and they were not approved. Their excuse was that they don't want to give anyone overtime. He was written up for not coming in, despite the month advanced notice. This is definitely one of the most unstable companies I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with, and that is sad because they are a security company. To add on top of the fact that they have unstable shifts, anytime that you begin a new post, or location, your probation period begins all over again. So you could have been working for this company for 2 years but if they change your post or location your 90 days begin again. My partner has been racially profiled, and discriminated against by clients, and the security company sides with the client. back in February, partner called off of work for the cremation of his mother, and he was punished by being taken off the schedule, and being told he was not reliable. As a precaution, we even submitted documentation of the cremation/obituary , but the captain didn't care. The biggest red flag this far, is the fact that they have 0 concern for sanitary up keeping. I have much more to say, and not enough room to write it all in."

"This company is terrible to work for! you don't get paid for the hours that you turn in, they decide for you, no vacation even though they say you get one but you don't and they won't pay you after you have accumulated your time."

"This company blatantly disregards labor laws, they survive on the idea of "you are replaceable", if they owe you back pay and you leave before you are paid for it don't expect to receive it, if you become leadership and point out things like mismanagement you will be targeted and pushed out the door, don't expect the HR department to assist you in any way they side with their people regardless if they are aware laws are being broken, all in all just avoid them it's the best thing for your own sanity"

"I’ve worked for allied for almost a year and almost every paycheck would be incorrect and then they give you problems when you report it like you are the one that’s wrong They kept me on schedule for 3 months and didn’t let me work when I finally was able to go back to work at a different site they messed up every check. they are nasty and don’t treat employees right as long as their paychecks are correct they don’t care this is unacceptable you might as well find a job that will pay you right and on time even if the pay is lower than allied pay It’s just not worth the heartache and mental pain they all put you through. My supervisor is a great woman who tries to help employees at her site but they won’t even pay her correctly and I have recordings from every one of them to prove they are intentionally not fixing my time"

"I have only worked with Allied for 6 months. When I was hired I explained being a full-time student and that school came first. Since then I have been scheduled without asking or my knowledge and when I have a school conflict I am met with appalling disrespect and poor management. My supervisor feels like he can do whatever he wants without any regard for the other employees he is supposed to be in charge of."

"I worked with AUS for the last 9 months and there is a culture of discrimination and deeply ingrained misogynistic attitudes amongst management. The racist comment thrown at me was OUTRAGEOUS. This company is triggering to any female applying. Please save yourself from a nightmare and seek out other security companies."

"MANAGEMENT: The management (similar to most large-scale security companies) is horrible. When I was first hired on, the individual responsible for uniforms and gear did not understand what officers need to satisfactorily do their job. The wrong holsters were ordered (did not fit the firearms), belts and pants were cheap, the wrong ammunition was bought and given out to officers on the job site (FMJ range ammo instead of self-defense JHP), and some less than lethal tools were promised but were never given because they could never find a "trainer" in the area. Issues like this were only changed after myself and others (who were former mil/police) addressed them directly. Even then, most complaints went unfixed. ***TRAINING: The training was sub-par at best. We had to teach our own officers on the job site and rely on facility staff to help with things that were not initially covered. In de-escalation/ defense training, the instructor was not only inexperienced, they often did not know the correct ways to perform various holds, restraints, and techniques and it ended up turning into a "let the military guys show us then" type of class. The firearms instructor was a joke. Not only were they teaching questionable techniques, the instructor handed me the reigns halfway through the training class and I ended up teaching the rest of it! I had no issue with this because I was also a firearms instructor, but you can see an obvious problem here that shouldn't need further explanation. ***HIRING: They could not hire adequate candidates for the positions offered. For my specific job site, most of the officers were in good physical condition with experience, but we also had some that were either 10 years into their retirement, or very overweight and barely able to conduct rounds without needing a half hour break. When an officer would leave or get fired, we would go many weeks without a replacement, so all vacant ***shits*** would go to the full-time or part-time officers. If part-ti"
