Zenta Careers & Info

Former CEO: Henry Hortenstine

Status: Acquired by Accenture in 2011

Now owned by Accenture, Zenta was a process service provider for commercial and residential mortgages. The company was founded in 2005 by CEO Henry Hortenstine and CFO Jeff Culp, and acquired by Accenture in August of 2011. According to the company‘s website, their mission was to provide top-quality service to clients and forward-thinking mortgage processing solutions to the industry, all while delivering positive results for shareholders. Zenta culture was centered on innovation, quality and efficiency in all aspects of employee-client relationships, as well as in each of the mortgage service products they offered.

Those interested in working at Zenta had a variety of options to pursue, including careers in account management, sales and process solutions. As Zenta was a global company, careers with the company often afforded employees the opportunity to travel the world and work in new and exciting places.

Zenta also provided advanced training to their employees and incorporated many of the tenants of Six Sigma, among other training techniques. Virtually all Zenta employees were also required to complete legal compliance training as a condition of employment, as mortgage processing had both civil and criminal liability concerns attached to it, and it continues to do so today. In addition, some Zenta benefits included access to health insurance, retirement planning services and competitive salaries. In terms of pay, the company followed the traditional business model of paying its senior management and corporate executives increasingly higher salaries when compared to entry-level and middle-management employees.

Zenta careers were often sought by applying with the company directly through their website, or by placing a resume on various career websites that focused on mortgage services and similar industries. Zenta also spent a considerable amount of time and resources to recruit employees from the private sector. The company prided itself on hiring only the best and brightest, so each employee was thoroughly screened before making it through the entire hiring process.

While it was not necessary to have prior experience in the mortgage processing services or mortgage loan industries to gain employment through Zenta, it certainly did help prospective employees help to have a basic understanding of how the mortgage market functioned, as well as how mortgages were processed at the time. For those seeking positions at Zenta that did not have prior experience or education, the company did provide entry-level positions, as well as introductory training to assist employees in transitioning into the industry.
