"I worked for Wipro for 2 1/2 years as a network build engineer. They have 5 data centers in the U.S. and some in Europe and Asia as well. Wipro started life as Western Indian Products so headquarters and a lot of the staff are in India. The other engineers I worked with are very competent. Documentations is a bit scattered and can be hard to find. Otherwise it's a fair company to work for."

"I worked for Wipro for 2 1/2 years. I found them to be disorganized at best. It's a large international company with assets in India, Europe and the U.S. but customers found it hard to get help working on urgent issues. After 2 1/2 years I still did not entirely understand the internal infrastructure as documentation and job responsibilities were divided. I also honestly felt the company was trying to run an international data center business on a shoe string budget and they had cash flow problems. I was laid off on a down sizing due to those issues. I was the only build team member in the Tempe data center so the only connection I had with team mates was by conference call."

"Challenging client environment. Opportunity to learn and excel. Onsite opportunities."

"Negotiate on your compensation before joining. Set your expectation well in advance."

What don't you like about working at Wipro?

"Compensation is one big aspect the company needs to work on. It is not competitive."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Recognize the talent within the team and try to meet their needs. Don't lose the good guys who are intelligent and hard working; they are your asset."
