"Great company, but got laid off during the transition of ownership. I learned to program here."
What do you like about working at Cogent Communications?
"I learned to program there with the Jr. Webmaster position. This position was actually a demotion in position and pay, but was exactly what I wanted to be doing. The people were great there and I still have friends from when I worked there."

"I didn't like getting laid off."

"None of the former management is there anymore."

"The company has good employee relationships with management. As long as you do your work and get along with other employees, you should do well."

"Carree advancement was limited, no none existent."

"Learn the technology that we use. Take a couple of IT classes."

What do you like about working at Santa Clara Family Health Plan?
"With our previous CEO it was a wonderful company to work for. There was a lot of job advancement opportunities, our members were key to our success, we worked hard for them and our physician groups, and the employees were made to feel like family. We had a great, cohesive group, always creating new ideas and applications to better the needs of the members, providers and employees. Our Mission was in the forefront. Our website was always up-to-date, I had a very fun and dynamic intranet, and I worked with the programmers to create 2 very useful applications for the Referral Authorizations and a Benefit Dossier of all our plans. We were rewarded with compliments as well as a paid day off once in awhile or a huge pizza party. It was a great place to work."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"At this time, I would not recommend anyone to apply at SCFHP."
What don't you like about working at Santa Clara Family Health Plan?
"A new CEO came in and everthing changed. She has eliminated 30% of the workforce, will be reducing another 30% in 4 weeks, reduced benefits, eliminated one LOB, and has created a culture of fear and uncertainty."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"All the Sr. Staff I have worked with are gone and, unfortunately, the current Sr. Staff are incapable of listening to suggestions."

"Engineering was always trying out new product lines and customers, very diversified product lines for the marine industry"

"Good management and people there enjoy the learning experience"

"Its stuck in the middle of ft lauderdale, heat index gets around 120F in the summer and traffic to and from home is a nightmare some days"

"Try ro grow more market share. They are heavy into the new yachting industry and when that slows down they find it hard to move into the used boats and refits"

"A little rough now as there have been lay offs and the moral is down. I hope it turns around."

"If you're lucky enough to work here, you'll be interviewing with me - so be smart, nice, professional, but also fun. I like to have a beer after work every now and then."

What do you like about working at todaysthv.com?
"My nine years at THV were the most rewarding on a personal level of any place I have worked. I have made solid, life-long friendships. My work was rewarding and I can say that most days, I loved working for KTHV."
What don't you like about working at todaysthv.com?
"KTHV is a TV station owned by a newspaper company, Gannett. Newspapers are not doing well. In making the cuts to try and stay afloat, Gannett, in my opinion, has eroded away the personnel to a point to where it is affecting the product, both on-air and online. This is in addition to the effect it is having on the staff moral. If it were not for the great people that work at KTHV, I don't thing they would be doing as well as they are in the present circumstances."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"For the management of KTHV, stay strong. For the management of Gannett, STOP KILLING THE TV STATIONS. And the board of directors needs to take a serious look at the leadership of Gannett and make some changes."
