"The company and its employees really cared about the Guest Experience (ie: customer service and experience). It was refreshing to work for a company that truly valued its customers, and took great strides to deliver a quality entertainment product, and treated guests right."

"Be yourself, be creative, and ensure you show up and are ready to actively participate in meeting your division's and the company's goals and objectives."

What don't you like about working at Walt Disney Company?

"The company closed the division I was working for - Disney Mobile, two years after launching the business. It made business sense, but was personally an unwelcomed outcome."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I think it is great that management takes risks into new entertainment venues to remain fresh and relevant to consumers. The mobile division was one such venture, and elements of this failed effort are still occurring in the company with other Disney divisions getting into mobile marketing and entertainment applications. Keep up the good work taking strategic and calculated risks in offering your guests new ways to experience the great entertainment The Walt Disney Company has to offer."

"I reached the peak of my management advancement at that time and place. There was no room for me to advance."

"I liked the energy and imagination of the parent, and the staff is very devoted."

"Middle management got there by time, not by true expertise. They were very lax about helping individuals advance to really utilize their talents."

"Start truly thinking about the middle management, their role, and how they can help each of their departments really excel."

"Know your Disney information - not just movies but all their holdings and businesses. Also, try to get someone inside to recommend you or get an email of a person in the department you want to get into."

"There are lots and lots of politics."

"Promote from within. Too often I watched people leave because they couldn't move up, and come back a year later hired into a position as high or higher than they couldn't get while still working there."

"Given Disney's size, sometimes the various businesses seem very disconnected. Better integration and communication is usually more beneficial."

"I would suggest better integration between businesses, although I clearly understand the challenges."

"It's a fun place to work and you get to see some amazing things. You also get to meet a variety of people in the entertainment industry."

"Within my group there is no opportunity to advance your career or advance in the company."

"Consider promoting people within the department when opportunities for positions are available, and not always bringing in new hires."
