"A decision to centralize most executive leaders in a single location for a Fortune 50 company with global presence provided for an excellent opportunity for the leaders to convene and make decisions. However, the downside appeared to be that removing them from much of the day-to-day experience often resulted in decisions that seemed to be a bit out of touch with the realities of the front line employees and customers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I'd encourage them to find ways to be more visible and present in the workplaces, ensuring close connectivity to the realities of the business."
