"It use to be the training, but currently I don't like working there."

"Low pay, annoying micro management. Don't stay longer than a year."

"There really isnt any incentive to do better, No raises or better job incentives."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Working there is a double edge sword. The only incentive I have to work is so they stop bothering me."

What do you like about working at RCN Corp.?

"Lots of room for advancement. Great Place to work. Grate Corporate Environment. Great Job Security. Great People. Great Pay."

What don't you like about working at RCN Corp.?

"Customer service and Sales are two separate divisions and switching from support to sales I was treated like I left the company and started working someplace else. After 4 years in Tech Support / Customer Service I was recruited to Sales. The pay was awesome, but after 911 things just went downhill for RCN. They started cutting back and eventually outsourced 300 positions to NC, and the Philippines. I was laid off at 94% to quota when normally we have to be above 80% and there was a hiring freeze so I couldn't go back to tech support."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management has things under control. The company has one of the best micromanaged monitoring systems I have come to see in my life. THis would be from HR, to Payroll, to Breaks, Call times, On Call activities, Training and Development, to name a few..."
