"I am really happy with my company."

"TVA pays well for Chattanooga, but it is hard to get promoted in corporate. If you want to sit around for 40 hours a week, that's OK with management. So if you are a high-performer you may be frustrated since effort and delivery is not rewarded. There are no modern aspects like telework or casual dress. There is no fitness center or juice bar. The cafes are dreadful. The culture is quite social though and there are lots of awesome people, so you can distract yourself from the disappointing lack of advancement. Going to lunch with coworkers downtown is a good thing."

"I worked for TVA From February 2011 to December 2013. TVA is a good company, stable and with clear premises but the company is experiencing bad financial times. I got laid off, now I need to move on. Certainly I enjoyed my time while there."

"Very tight on their policies. Takes a lot of time to get things done sometimes."

"TVA had a good reputation for growth opportunity. The company was also know to be a leader in Salary."

"Have an inside contract. TVA is all about who you know."

What don't you like about working at Tennessee Valley Authority?

"The commute. I commuted 50 miles one direction. The company was located downtown and there was a huge need for parking. The additional cost for parking was 135.00 per month."

"Better communication with staff. The manager would know what new projects and expectations where but would never convey the information to staff."

"My managers have been great. The only suggestion I would have would be to increase communication between the corporate staff and plant staff working together."
