Trinity University is an excellent private, liberal arts school. The small, 117-acre campus is located in San Antonio, Texas. The school was founded in 1869, and on the first day of classes there were only seven students. The university was originally rooted in Presbyterian principles. However, Trinity no longer has any specific religious affiliations.

Today, Trinity enrolls more than 2,300 students from approximately 70 countries. Almost half of Trinity's students have studied abroad at some point. The school offers 42 majors, and the student to faculty ratio is an impressive 9-to-1. In addition to academics, students have an active campus life. There are more than 115 social, political, cultural and other student organizations. The school has nine music ensembles, three student publications, a radio and a television station. For 21 consecutive years, U.S. News & World Report has ranked Trinity first in the western region for academic excellence and value.
