"I love solving technical issues, NetApp infrastructures provided a varied and unique environment to meet challenges head on. NetApp strives to provide quality service and has employed a certain "get it working" approach to ensure that their clients were not impacted by outages. NetApp provided training material and opportunities for learning, even to those that were employed indirectly through a company like Convergys."

Technical Support Engineer at Trustwave
in Irvine, CA

What do you like about working at Trustwave?

"I like the people I work with and the challenges it gives. It's definitely not boring."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Get a clear job description! Discuss growth opportunities and salary before you sign on the dotted line."

What don't you like about working at Trustwave?

"I feel like I am not headed anywhere. I'm just going to burn out on this product I am supporting, with promises of opportunities waved at me like a carrot on a stick, they never seem to materialize. Not to mention my workload has quadrupled and I am doing way more advanced work, yet still getting paid the same as I was when I started at entry level. I am working way beyond my pay grade."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Pay employees better, reward people for their effort and service. This isn't being done really. All the focus is on new hires, meanwhile I have worked here for 3 years without a single raise."

"Schedule flexibility, Dress up days, dress code, nice staff and supervisors."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"have a pulse. Pretty much hire anyone. ability to read and write."

What don't you like about working at West Business Services?

"Repetitive, non-challenging work on outdated systems. Rare and random chances at advancement, pay is too low, raises insulting and pathetic. Micro-management goes to far and is counter-productive, focus is on the employee's shortfalls rather than changes that could be made to the overall system. Environment is poor, atmosphere dreary and reeks of dreadfulness. Every second on the clock is monitored, recorded and tracked. followup with mistakes is a waste of time and serves little to no purpose. Corporate culture and policy is outdated, behind the curve in many respects, run like a business from the early 90's."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Focus on latest technology and training, up to date with current trends, better equipment to perform tasks at hand, 20% collaborative projects time that benefit the company, recognize knowledge and achievement more than social cliques, make environment upbeat and pleasing, reward effort, increase environmental conditions that contribute to productive and happy workplace."

"They Value their employees and take the time to make sure they have the tools and training to do their jobs"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Some things are changing, but it takes time. Badger Meter tends to be a little bit slower to change, due to how long many of the employees have worked here. You may have to be a bit more patient for some things here, than other places."

What don't you like about working at Badger Meter?

"The department I work in doesn't have the freedom the other departments do. We are very tied to our phones, and it is rather difficult to even seek help from people outside of our department due to this. This tends to hinder a lot of the communication to and from our department. I don't see this as much with other areas."

"Change some of the focus of some of the new products to items that are more popular with customers. Also, continue to work on releasing cleaner (bug free) products."

Technical Support Engineer at Ovation Networks
in Cedar Rapids, IA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Terrible place, virtually no training. $10/hr"

What do you like about working at Ovation Networks?

"Most of the employees were fun to work with, and at night, there's virtually no management."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Honestly, as long as you know how to connect online, and can walk someone through it, they'll probably hire you. Small amount of network knowledge is good. If you have a modem & router @ home, and know how to set them up, you're probably fine. Wouldn't recommend this job, however."

What don't you like about working at Ovation Networks?

"High level management doesn't understand changes that need to be made to increase profitability of company; CEO is always making bad decisions. It took over a year, and constant pestering to get full-time."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Understand the stress level at night, when the call center is at it's busiest. Realize that not every customer is going to end the call on a positive note, and allow employees more freedom when dealing with unsavory people."

Technical Support Engineer at Kelly Services
in Las Vegas, NV

What do you like about working at Kelly Services?

"I liked the fact that I was working at home."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Use this opportunity to provide food, clothing, and shelter for yourself, but don't look at this as a major career opportunity."

What don't you like about working at Kelly Services?

"The manager/liason to the company we were outsourced to in our division treated her employees like they were in high school, and related her work style to that of a high school teacher in a classroom. She used videos to relay messages, which were child-like, and not very professional. She tried to act like she was much younger than she actually was, and it came off as very unprofessional, and unrealistic, as were her emotional ploys to garner productivity from the crew. She encouraged a lot of ass kissing to the upper management from the middle management, and in turn, that was relayed to the lower level employees through middle management, emulating her management style. The model of shame and blame seemed to be prevalent, and professionalism truly was not there. There was not a lot of true inspiration to increase productivity."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Stop treating the employees like children, treat everyone across the board with more dignity and respect."

What don't you like about working at Siemens?

"Minimal cross-product support and team interaction. Given the diverse portfolio, Siemens still lacks the cross-product support structure for middleware products."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Develop interactive team building forum for cross-product implementations. Management needs to be more proactive in compiling the needs for support of products aquired through recent business aquisitions."
