"Bureaucratic, monotonous and creativity discouraged. Constant requirements change by senior management."

"Provide employees with some time and opportunity to learn new technology and tools."

"There is not anything I don't like about this company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Open communication with staff, believe in their people, less micromanaging."

"Building products that impact billions of users is amazing, and the environment encourages the creation of great products for the customer. The pay and benefits are good."

"Be aware that recognition is not always given to the hardest working person. Sometimes it's given to the smartest working person, which might be the person who's figured out how to work the frustrating performance review system."
What don't you like about working at Microsoft?
"Microsoft is too slow to respond to anything - employee needs, consumer needs, etc. It's frustrating to have to sit around and wait for things to get better, just to find it's too little too late."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would completely overhaul the performance review and employee compensation to encourage teams to work well together, and teams to work well with each other."
What do you like about working at Autodesk?
"It's collaborative yet autonomous at the same time so there is quite a bit of freedom to be creative at work."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"You have to love change, be ok with making others look good, be a nice person that get things done and prefer a laid back culture to one that is like big brother."
What don't you like about working at Autodesk?
"It's a corporate job. By definition corporate jobs limit creativity, in the end do what's right for the bottom line and as such have the stakeholder's interest in mind and not the greater good."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"First try to be more inclusive, understand best practices but most of all be a transformational leader vs. old fashioned/old school."

"My coworkers are wonderful! We all band together to get things done."

"Don't work for AT&T. If you have any other options, take them. You are required to do strike duty on top of your own job every 3 years and you can be fired if you don't."

"The managers are allowed to be as crummy or nice to employees as they want. There are no rules and the company does not follow any employment laws."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Learn to treat your employees with respect and like adults. Make managers accountable for their behavior. Make employee recommendations of their bosses part of performance reviews."

"It cares about our Warfighter in the field. The work is meaniful and provides a purpose."

"Be honest in your resume. You also need to show your skills versatilty."

"It is becoming a profit only company. The cuts in benefits is alarming."

"Invest on IRAD. It has become apparent that the years of minimal investment in new products is affecting the future outlook of ITT Exelis."

"Be yourself, honesty is always the best policy, not ony during the interview, but always."

"The company is fairly large, and one can tend to get lost in the number of people."

"Great learning experience working with architects & engineers"
What do you like about working at STV?
"I enjoyed the travel. I also enjoyed teaching the architects and engineers how to operationally apply physical security to improve and/or enhance their designs."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Having a background in traditional A&E would be a big plus when applying physical security to their design, i.s. be able to speak the A&E language."
What don't you like about working at STV?
"Frustrating how some colleagues refuse to improve their products for clients due to being set in their engineering models."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Sr. management truly wants to incorporate our abilities but at mid-management it became much more difficult to apply."

"The processes are very well defined and closely governed, but at the same time, have flexibility to fit projects of varying sizes and types."

"Highlight areas of past success and map it to the current job description."
What don't you like about working at MetLife?
"I am a consultant. There is a general opinion that consultants are temporary. I would like to be treated as a part of the company and not as a temporary resource."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"All workforce, including work done by consultants is a part of the project success. So need to acknowledge it more, even in areas such as PMOs where deliverables are less visible."

"I truly liked my fellow workers and found the environment within which I operated largely collegial."

"You need to determine the specific business untI in which you'll work and the personality of the hiring manager as there is no pervasive business culture within ITT. ITT is a collection of disparate acquisitions that occurred over a length of time."

"Executive leadership lacked technical acumen and vision. I perceive the company is being positioned to be acquired to the benefit of current executive leadership."

"Figure out how to restructure the company and gain synergy between disparate operating divisions before you become a takeover target."
