What do you like about working at ROFIN-SINAR Technologies?
"The plant personnel, sales and service people I worked with were great professionals."

"Make sure any promises are in writing."
What don't you like about working at ROFIN-SINAR Technologies?
"Very little consideration for their employees. Too much Who likes who buddy system for reviews, raises and advancement. Short memory of employees sacrifices and value to the company."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The people there are hard working individuals who have feelings, needs and desires just like everybody else, have consideration for them and their past dedication and well being. Be considerate and don't treat them like they are Fodder, to be sweep aside and not given another thought when situations change. You will lose their loyalty and therefore good, hardworking, dedicated people."

"I went to Millstone with Stone and Webster after the 3 mile Island accident and therefor worked at the last Nuclear Plant that completed construction before the industry changed dramatically."
What do you like about working at Dominion?
"I wore work boots to work, could go out and see the pipe that I was scheduling, and saw real work progress."
What don't you like about working at Dominion?
"the construction people were so anxious about losing their jobs once the power plant was complete, that they actually took apart work they had installed just to remain employed."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I was actually offered a job by the power company when I had announced I was leaving Stone and Webster for personal reasons, I moved out of town. I was a woman working on a construction site at a time when very few women were given positions in management. I suspect that has changed and more women are managers."

"My fellow employees are great people many of which are personal friends. The other Field Service Engineers are very professional in their job."

"Be ready for a lot of travel & keep opinions to yourself around management."

"Instability and Personal Politics."

"Listen closer to employees & customers. Have more consideration for employees needs."

"Adecco outright lied to us to get us to stay with the company, then laid most of us off."

"originally, nothing, later, money was too tight from over buying and there were too many cut backs...especially for custmers"

"As a field engineer, we had autonomy to work with our customers. Our offices worked as a team to keep customer satisfaction high."

"Schlumberger provided an opportunity to learn in a fast paced environment and take on responsibility early on in career. I worked with many people and formed many great relationships that will continue beyond the work environment. Progression through the company involves focus on technical and operational expertise."
What don't you like about working at Schlumberger?
"Long work hours and remote locations for long periods of time made the work/life balance hard to keep. Bureaucracy that limits productivity and effectiveness causes reactive behavior to problems instead of approaching problems proactively."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Focus on the guiding principles of the company, People, Technology, Profits. And in that order."
