"Love the responsibility and challenge, as well as the various departments working together for a common goal, but the travel grind and long sales cycle can become a negative if allowed to. While most sales executives have some independence and ability to control their own work schedule, maintaining a lifestyle balance is a constant challenge."

"The clients I deal with day after day. You are able to connect with numerous clients and work together to help their department grow and stay succesful."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Honestly nothing is bad about this company. In my time within the company I have been promoted and reward as such. All upper management asks from this role is for someone to work hard, complete daily responsibilities and not to be distracted by personal information such as Facebook. Those employees who are able to do these requirements, are able to be successful for years to come."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Nothing. Vault's management team is skilled and familiar with the market we work in. Through years of experience, Vault's upper management understands the importance of our resource to all our clients."

Senior Account Executive at Groupon
in Chicago, IL

What do you like about working at Groupon?

"The culture is great, young people, great money, great opportunity for growth."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Hard work definitely gets noticed, it's just that when you move territories, it's mostly a lateral move. The potential to make more money is there, but it takes time every time you move positions. Most people want management opportunities, but only a select few are chosen internally, but mostly they are hired from the outside, which is a BIG confidence bust."

What don't you like about working at Groupon?

"The micromanagement is getting to a point where it is ridiculous. Many of us joined the company in the early stages to have more autonomy, but now everything is so suppressed that it is making the employees less efficient. Also, the micromanaged requirements change based on how the company is performing on every particular day/week."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"It's hard to say, the dynamic and extraordinary growth has put the company in a tough position. The current situations that we are dealing with as employees are necessary for the company to survive. If I could have done anything about it, I would not have let the company grow as quickly as it did and also go through the IPO as quickly as we did."

Senior Account Executive at Cline, Davis and Mann
in Los Angeles, CA

What do you like about working at Cline, Davis and Mann?

"I like the small company environment and the people I work with."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I think it would be more advice for personal reflection. Working in our office requires a lot of your time and energy. It's not easy and many people are drained by the work. So I would advise that they really consider how much they specifically want to work for this company. It's a great resume builder, but you may have to pay for it in terms of stress."

What don't you like about working at Cline, Davis and Mann?

"We work bi-coastally right now and that causes many, many efficiency problems. It's so hard to coordinate and it feels like we get the short end of the stick when it comes to staffing since we are in LA and the home office is in NY. We encountered some really tough team dynamic issues with a couple of people and only when the team imploded did anyone do anything to fix the problem people. They are all high level...the management layers on our team leave a TON to be desired."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"My direct manager's manager used to be the person I reported into and I almost quit my job because of this person. If I had been trying to describe that individual, I would have had to click demanding, difficult, and self-serving. Still having that person around has a horrible trickle down effect on the entire team. If I were running the show, I'd get rid of that toxic individual and try to get the rest of the team the support they need."

Senior Account Executive at Medical Knowledge Group
in New York City, NY

What do you like about working at Medical Knowledge Group?

"Small company, talented colleagues, close relationships with leadership team and executives, recognition for hard work and dedication"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Speak up and take part in decision-making processes when possible. Senior managers respect junior colleagues who work diligently to stand out among their peers. Put in the time--often long hours--in order to be recognized by all."

What don't you like about working at Medical Knowledge Group?

"My senior manager is extremely overbearing and micromanages all of my tasks. It is difficult to take ownerships in projects and to develop client relationships when when my manager consistently steals the show. Due to the engrained management structure, it is also difficult to move projects forward into the approval stage; all final decisions are subject to senior managers, 1 of whom is too busy to dedicate the time that is needed."
