"Little over 5 years with Safran Seats in Gainesville, Texas in the engineering department. New ideas and concepts are shunned and there is an innovative stagnation running rampant in the company. Time and time again new ideas are passed over for older, less risky ideas that are sometimes 20+ years old and have the effect of new products being, in reality, a repackaging of older products. The mantra is literally "copy, copy, copy" in an effort to reduce part proliferation at the cost of innovation. So much emphasis is placed on hitting performance metrics that quality is often sacrificed."
