"I learned so many new things there. I loved working for UPS."
What do you like about working at UPS?
"I like the advancement and bi-yearly raises, paid weekly, paid holidays, great people to work with, and they treated me really good there."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It's a rough, tough job but you can hang in there!"
What don't you like about working at UPS?
"I didn't like the backbreaking work. All weather conditions are what they are."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would suggest getting heaters or let employees bring their own fans and misters."

"I was hired by Austin Staffing. Worked out at Samsung on contract job."
What do you like about working at Austin Staffing?
"It's a growing company. There isn't much competition for the product they make and install."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I believe they did a good job with the interviewing process. there were only four persons hired for the position of safety for this project out at Samsung."
What don't you like about working at Austin Staffing?
"worked on contract basis. There is more work to be done. Laid me off at the end of the project. Expect Safety employees to wait for their phone call for future work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Better training for those incoming employees from Korea and better enforcement of the regulations."

"I liked the excellent pay and benefits provided by the company."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"The pay is great, but the safety culture is horrible. If you are happy to make tons of money to keep your mouth shut then you will fit into this company very well."
What don't you like about working at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute?
"I hated the little support I received from from the management team. I had to find/write/develop my own safety program. Their safety manual copied from OSHA stating ...the employer will develop programs for... without stating what the programs were. I was completely on my own when it came to company policies and proceedures."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Quit celebrating the fact that you got away with only a $25,000 fine for killing five people within 13 months."

"Recognition for positive contributions. Opportunity to exercise discretion in the application of safety principles to control employee accident and injury frequency."

"Know all the essential elements of the job applied for."
What don't you like about working at Kaiser Permanente?
"The fact that my lay off was due to a work slow down did not make me happy. I was nearly 62 years old and would have preferred working until age 65."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Nothing. The operation was well managed and functioning satisfactorily. I would run nothing differently than the way the operation was managed."

"We had a small work force that did a great amount of multitasking to help each other complete the assigned projects"

"If you want to go to Japan they may have opportunities there."

"When we had to find a method to complete a line item that was missed in the orignal bid."

"Hope they return to HawaiI as they have close operations here."
