Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It is not important to recruit a candidate based only on the merit of his academic pursuits, I would rather hire a person who delivers than talks on the subject. Because I myself can talk on subjects from structural engineering to Finance, so may encounter a guy like once a while but generally many guys after their BS degree are not up to the task in spite of 5 or more years of experience. But once appointed and trained it is not a good policy to remove him on a single incompetence because the company has to hire another guy and another training period. So live with known devil than with the unknown angel."
What don't you like about working at Parsons?
"Some are biased while sharing work or information related to job."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"During lean period it is not a good policy to lay off, instead make employees to sacrifice by reducing their take home pay by about 500 USD per pay period or a reduction of 1300 per year. The actual reduction is not 500 but less than 500 because they get income tax reduction corresponding to the reduction they voluntarily accepted to forego. Layoff to be resorted only when the balance sheet show a steep decline in cash inflow versus the cash outflow and the prospects of getting new jobs are difficult in the near future (9-12 months hence)."
"Have no expectations, stay for the money if you can get it."

What don't you like about working at Parsons?
"Senior management has no concern for the people. Very self promoting and focused on their bonus at the expense of the overall work force and the job. Basically trying to force the HS&E department to ignore the safety concerns when it is to their benefit. Absolutely no real support from regional or corporate management when decisions are made in violation of corporate policy and procedures."
