"Being a contractor, in a field that changes at an alarming rate, trying to keep up with all the new technologies and products is overwhelming. Yet my group in the company makes its money by billable hours from the contract I support, so they want me to spend all of my full-time billing to the customer, but expect me to also do tasks for my company and stay knowledgeable in my field, which seriously is like having another entire full-time job on the side that I am not getting paid to do."

"Access to learning new tools - you could always learn new tools."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Currently we have very few Americans going into the IT industry--a very important question would be would Oracle pay for additional college training like MBA's PHD's or do they prefer to use guest visas-with these types of degrees."
What don't you like about working at Oracle?
"All training was done on line. No classroom training."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would suggest that company invest more in the America work instead of the guest visa work. Specially now when there are so many Americans who are willing to retool to get back into the job force."
