Senior Director of QA

What do you like about working at Open Solutions?

"Good responsibility to do my work independently. Great team. Good vendor relations. Budget available when needed."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Like all organizations, do not be surprised by the politics in the organization. Each one is plotting to stab you in the back. This organization cannot improve."

What don't you like about working at Open Solutions?

"Too much interference from the top. CTO thrived on setting two or more of his reports into conflict and sat back and watched.Lack of recognition for the great work that I did. Even 20 year-old customer contacts have lauded the fact that one delivery of an annual upgrade was the smoothest in his memory of more than 20 years' use - and we exceeded specifications by reporting on previously undetected defects - still I was let go."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Incorrigible management - no point in suggesting anything - they just think that they know everything. The first step to solving a problem is acknoweldging that a problem exists - when the management denies that any proble exists or lacks the intelligence to recognize the existence of the problem - the problem solving process fails at the first step itself!"
