What do you like about working at Amedisys?
"The paycheck wasn't even worth the headache. This was absolutely the worst experience. Nothing positive to say."

"Run don't walk from this company! Do not bother unless you can not get work elsewhere."
What don't you like about working at Amedisys?
"Pay per visit compared with actual time worked is extremely poor. Long unpaid hours, reduntant and repetative documentation, too many managers and the right hand has no idea or even cares what the left hand is doing. Mileage reimbursement is what they think you should have driven and not what you actually drove. It is expected that you use your personal cell phone and you must answer calls at all hours, getting reimbursed for business calls is like a republican trying to get through Obama's congress. No reimbursement, they do not pay your bill or any part and dictate how your outgoing message is to sound and when you should have your phone on. Extremely political on all levels. Not concerned with patient care in the least exept staying out of court for malpractice. Horrible career experience. I will give up nursing before experiencing this again! Medical benifits offered to employees is subject to pre-existing conditions."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Re organize, rebuilld, restructure the whole company. Get rid of the stepford house wife mentality. If you ask your employees for input listen and don't berate and punish them because their input was not to your liking though professionally and appropriately stated."

"I love the job security. Everyone is very kind to me, and I feel valued at my job."

"Be yourself. The Utah State Hospital has a track record of keeping nurses for a very long time. You want to make sure your personality matches early on to keep yourself comfortable for the next 30 years."
What don't you like about working at Utah State University?
"I wish that I could make more money but the resources are not available at this time."

"Nothing at this time. I think they are doing a fine job with the resources available to them."

"A background check on credentials for supervisor would reveil inadequate training."

"Communication and meetings for RN's was not important to the supervisor; who was not open to allowing input from employees"

"I suggest an ongoing relationship with client, employee, and management to allow for suggestions and ideas so that delivery of healthcare can benefit the patients."

"Play the politics. Union contract is in place, so have to follow the rules, get to know them well."

"Administration is never down in the trenches with us and they are clueless, yet they make decisions that affect us."

What do you like about working at Peace Corps?
"The professional and cross cultural challenges and the ability to travel meet new staff members and learn a few tricks and best practices from the older staff members. The continuing medical education available. The enthusiasm of the newly arrived patients and pride we took in providing care and education in preparing them for the field. The challenges to meet the professional goal annually as required by the organization. It was a great learning experience."

"The sadness of seeing patients or staff members leave who are unable to thrive or work in harsh environment or for admistrative reasons when they are unable to meet the required work goals, as well as, when they complete their tour."

"Keep your focus, especially in the area of quality and experience. Encourage team work when required. Maintain a high level of professionalism and open communication. Expect a high level of respect for clients, and keep the autmosphere work-friendly w/user-friendly documentation and filing."
