"They give you every chance to be successful. Even after some major screw-ups, they still give you a chance to prove it was an honest mistake, unless it's something egregious like theft or fraud."

"Be completely honest with your interviewer. Retail is definitely not for everyone, and if you're honest upfront, you'll save yourself a lot of time."

What don't you like about working at Nordstrom?

"The pay is good at face-value, but when you factor in the cost of health insurance for a family, your take-home pay drops significantly."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Although the company has made good strides to roll out more options for healthcare coverage, they are still super-expensive."

"They were the most informative of all the companies I have worked for. They gave me the foundation I needed to become successful in marketing, LP and retail in general. They have a great rapport with the consumer and their employees."

"There are many expectations that Nordstrom looks for. They are stringent in how they market themselves, so be very aware of this during the interview and job, if applicable."

What don't you like about working at Nordstrom?

"Looking back, I have nothing but fond memories, and although the workload was heavy, it really helped to learn how to prioritize."

"Keep listening to the employees and the consumer, and the continued success will be guaranteed."
