"You may have a great sales force, but if you have no market or the wrong market, then your sales force, no matter how great or trained, is worth nothing and cannot produce any results."

What don't you like about working at New York Life?

"The sales market I was assigned was proven to have no money, could not produce sales, yet the company decided to do it anyway. Students have no money to buy life insurance."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Do market research before launching a sales campaign. If you want to produce sales, I suggest the company have leads or a lead system that will generate sales."

"Again, the people and management were great. It is a stable company, the training is continual, above and beyond ANY company in their industry."

"Have a lot of money saved up."

"Cold calling, unless you were ingrained into the community, difficult and expensive to get started."

"Cancellation of in-house health and disability products. Abuse from unethical agents lead to unmanageable regulations and controls."
