What don't you like about working at New York & Co.?
"It is full of people who have been working 20+ years who think they have the only answers. They are not open to new ideas. It's little wonder why the company is in the sh*tter and their CEO gets BOOED in public settings. They are also deceitful and unprofessional. I sat in a breakfast with the head of HR who said right to our faces that they were not going to lay anyone off. I found this odd, because exactly at that time I was doing all kinds of headcount analyses for management. A few weeks later, layoffs started to happen. Also, they have untalented people in their finance department who know little if anything about proper GAAP procedures. In the advertising expense department they were making bogus accruals with little or no backup as to move expenses from one fiscal year to another. Very shady!"
