"I've worked at Microsoft Research as a research intern during the summer of 2012 and 2013. The company provides really good environments for research, and a lot of brilliant scientists are working and provide many opportunities to learn from them. In addition, they can properly manage many summer interns with well-designed programs like social events and surprising presents. The experience interning there can strongly motivate me to work."

What don't you like about working at Microsoft?

"Our customers seemed to truly despise Microsoft, and this animosity was clearly built up over many years. Some managers I sold to would refuse to buy enterprise class products from Microsoft, because they had no confidence in Microsoft to perform. Also, the company was not good at supporting creative solutions which spanned multiple product categories. There was poor management, and mediocre products. The worst part of the job was the culture of self-promotion."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Get out of email and into the field. Meet with real customers."

Principal Solution Manager

"Excellent opportunity."

Software Engineer

"Microsoft is a pretty cool place to work, and they are finally coming around to the Agile side of SW."
