"I worked with Macy's for four months during the summer of 2011. The companies work methods were good and I learned how to be an excellent sales representative and how to sell a product to a customer. The job was easy to understand and I was willing to work harder in order to move up in the company. Macy's was very willing to help my raise my status in the company."

"Make it known that you are dependable, you're not afraid of hard work."

"For me it was difficult managing two jobs, but overall I did like the company."

"That incentive works to keep employees motivated, and don't overwork your good employees, you will burn them out."

"Counter manager turnover was extreme in the 1 year I was there, I had 3."

"Talking with your team instead of to it creates a much better working environment."

"Just be polite and be yourself."

"Too much work for the little pay, not enough recognition, they don't follow their own rules. They always made us promote too many charities at once."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Recognize your employees more, give employees the pay that they deserve if you want them to meet daily sales goals, meet daily new customer accounts goal, maintain floor, put clothing back, get customers to donate to 3 charities at a time."
