"Do not work here. I worked here four months, built rapport with all of these child clients, and was terminated in the middle of the day. The manager of that clinic is a poor excuse for a social worker, he does not care about the clients; he cares about money. They care about cutting corners, and saving money, not helping the clients, or empowering staff as they claim to be doing. Many people have left because of this manager, because he is not a genuine person. He lies behind your back, and tries to get on your nerves daily. I put up with it for the clients. I CARED about those clients. Now, the clients who are used to seeing me, will not be notified of my termination until they come into the clinic and see another counselor. The pay is not worth the headache this place will give you (both Mckinney and Plano clinics). Also, you aren't allowed to have mental health issues here. They will make it their job to make your job give you a mental breakdown. I've had many since working here because of what they were expecting of me (way more than they should have for a new person). If you decide to take this job, and you know you are worth more than he is willing to give you, please don't settle like I did. It's not worth it. The people I worked with were amazing, but the manager was the thorn in the clinic's side. No one likes him, and most of us were wondering how he still had this job after so many people leaving because of him. Whether or not you take the job, I wish you luck. Stand up for yourself and pray it doesn't get you terminated."
