L-3 works under four separate business segments: C3ISR, Government Services, Aircraft Modernization and Maintenance, and Specialized Products. C3ISR stands for Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance. It includes flight simulation manufacturing, ISR Systems, and Secure Communications. Government services involves aviation, IT and staff augmentation services. Aviation support operations and other support services fall under AM&M. Specialized products, or electronic systems, involve avionics, displays, marine and power systems, microwave, security and detection, and sensors and navigation.
