"Be patient, the many rounds of interviews and no sense questions will be over at some point."

"Very bad management, you have a better chance if you are a Yes Person."

"The company was built by the senior people that you are forcing them to quit or lay off to save money. Making tools cheap by outsourcing to Asia won't help in the long run, so focus on new technology."

"As an individual contributor, I had a high degree of autonomy, and the tech pubs group had a lot of collective knowledge to share across product lines."

"It's susceptibility to industry down cycles."

"Management could be a little more responsive to external pressures."

"Some work is OK, but arbitrary, pointless redirection wastes lots of time."

"I've heard some parts of KLA are OK - good luck!"

"Management didn't have a clue about designing software. One salesman told me that bad software never stopped a sale. KLA often used customer to test release without going through internal QA."

"Get serious about software. Stop trying to insist customers do it your way."

"Everyone is extremely intelligent, but not pushy or showy. Everyone is respectful of others and works as a team."

"It's very communist-like. People are afraid to discuss current events or life details in fear that their opinions/lifestyles might offend somebody."

"I found that I prefer working at SW development, and not at the manufacturing planning, although I managed my department for almost a year."

"I learned a lot especially for the technical management skill for past 10 years staying at KLA-Tencor."

"Too much travel and hard to balance with the work and family life."

"Business is very important, however, employee is still important too."

"The job. I interface with 3D CAD applications, import to a graphic application, render and/or tough up images. Then prepare the images for output, be it hard copy for publication, or soft copy for WEB applications."

"Be prepared to work hard."

"The people. Other than one's own department, all else was a mystery. Did not seem to have any organization. Each division did things their own way. It was difficult to support each division, as the rules kept changing."
