"First I loved it now I'm happy I'm not there."

What do you like about working at Glazed & Infused?

"Owner was nice and supportive. All co-workers understood each other. Free coffee at the time I worked there. I got to meet new people, make friends and make business connections."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Keep an account of what you are told: Date, time, who said it, how they said it. Stay focused and be careful who is your friend. Ask questions and keep note of the answer just in case it changes you want to cover yourself. Keep track of your hours especially if your salary."

What don't you like about working at Glazed & Infused?

"General Manager was controlling in all aspects. When something went good he got the credit and when something went bad he pointed fingers and threatened jobs. He also gave me bad advice at times. There was no confidentiality when you tried to speak to upper management/ corporate. Salary employees where taken advantage of as far as hours went. There is a revolving door of employees in such a short time since it opened ( about 1.5 years), that can show you how unstable it can be. I think it would do better with there employees if it had better management."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Make good decisions when hiring and give people a chance. Be kind and understanding when working in the restaurant business because your employees are the ones that keep the wheels moving. Job duties need to be specific and not given to others or last minute. Don't over work your employees/ have an appropriate staff. A person who is licensed in sanitation should always be on duty according to the Department of Sanitation."

What do you like about working at Holman's Restaurant?

"Mostly maintained authority over basic kitchen operations and staffing procedures. The owner seems highly family motivated which is, in some situations to single and working parents, highly valued."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be wary and research the inner findings and the reason for the company seeking an employee to begin with. This particular company has a very high turnover rate and has gone through an extensive amount of employees in less than 24 months. And when I say extensive, I mean more than 125 employees in less than 24 months."

What don't you like about working at Holman's Restaurant?

"Lack of communication, support, feedback, reviews, written and/or verbal warnings and inadequate managerial knowledge from the owner. Extremem dysfuctional working environment."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Establish communication; obtain managerial knowledge and education; learn team work schemes and themes; understand person to person interaction and/or emotions."

What do you like about working at Pizza Hut?

"At first it was a really fun, laid back place to work. The GM is great and always makes my shift enjoyable."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"They don't seem very picky on who they hire. No experience needed."

What don't you like about working at Pizza Hut?

"Lower management is anything but professional. They always have an attitude about something and act as though they don't want to be there. They do not train people. They may explain a few things and then you are left on your own to figure things out. If you aren't sure about something they act like it is a burden to help or explain anything. There is a lot of inappropriate jokes about a woman's place being in the kitchen while the men stand around talking and not helping. Lower management likes to cut people's hours if they do not like an employee, and is usually personal and has nothing to do with job performance. If they don't like you but cannot fire you they will cut your hours down to nothing so you have to look for another job. (Not to me but a few people I have worked with.) The pay is horrible, especially considering how much money the company makes. There is no incentive to go above and beyond, and no kudos given when you do."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Lower management should probably remember where they came from and start caring more about the employees they manage."
