"I didnt like the lack of growth potential, no upward movement once I obtained Journeyman certification"

"Suggestions for management is to increase the apprenticeship training towards more advanced technology"

"Building things with my hands through the use of tools is a very rewarding experience. Also the comaraderie in the trades appeals to me."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be prepared for life after the apprenticeship is over; there will be long periods of unemployment."
What don't you like about working at International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers?
"The union experience isnt there anymore, and unemployment is rampant in my local."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Restructure the employment scenarios so that employment is spread more equally among all members, not just the usual ones."

"management, managers and owners only look at the dollar, while the workers suffer"

"get a better attitude, show more respect to those adapting to learn their craft"

"As with all new jobs keep in mind that you may need to start in a lower undesirable position before you get an opportunity to move up."

"The only thing that I could say about The Shaw Group that would be detracting is it was a temporary position and that I would have stayed longer if I could have."
