Intel Employee

"Terribly disappointing company to work for."

What do you like about working at Intel?

"Except for the most advanced tools, there is nothing in this company to work for."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Do not interview with them unless you have no other life other than job or decide to get a divorce from your wife."

What don't you like about working at Intel?

"Nothing.. The management is not at all good. They promise a lot when they hire you, but they do not deliver a single thing. They trap you into a 2 year contract and tie you up so that you use any previous knowledge you have gained in life or in education. The shift engineer jobs they have are done by least experienced and low educated people in other industries. They do not care anything other than the work being done. They impose extraneous hours on you and you wont get any recognition or promotions unless you put in 65 to 70 hours a week.. As one intelligent man has put it, a dumb manager and a dumb employee is equal to production, that is exactly what it is. I have left that company due to the vulgar politics and dirty attitudes the managers carry. I have seen many talented people leave that place. Least paying company and they always boast they are better in market, but that is totally B.S.... When I left the company, the HR asked me what my experience was. I could feel clearly that they did not even care what I was telling and they were just asking probably because it is some law. They did not even consider that I was leaving because I was badly hurt. They pay you salary and they buy your life.."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They have to improve their management skills and be truthful. Earn the trust of employees and not act like GODS in the company. They are fellow employees working to get a good product out of the door. They should act in the same way. Needless to say, it will fall on deaf ears.."
