"My favorite part of the job is visiting engineers and helping them with their projects. I've visited high-tech places like the Stanford SLAC and NASA Ames. I've worked on everything form electric skateboards to combat radar. If there would be one item I dislike is following up on cold leads, but as the CEO of one of our principals once told me dial through the pain."

What do you like about working at Midwest Products?
"I liked working at Midwest Educational Products because it was challenging but with a relaxed environment. The corporate culture was one of empowering and trusting employees and everyone was expected to have a strong morals and be honest. In return, everyone was treated with respect and treated equally. There was no such thing as dumb questions so everyone was encouraged to make suggestions without fear of ridicule. Mistakes were not mistakes unless they were repeated. They were learning experiences. Overall, one of the best companies I have worked for in my career."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I would suggest that anyone interviewing must be able to work in an environment where you are trusted to do your best work without being guided every step. Its a great place to learn and grow."
What don't you like about working at Midwest Products?
"There was literally nothing I did not like about working at Midwest. Anything that I did not like was not that significant and I did not let it bother me."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The key suggestion I would make to management would be to not be so involved in everyones daily activities. We had a staff of very talented people who worked better without being micromanaged."

"Spend more time with clients and listen to their challanges"

"I loved everything about working at this company, except the sudden closure"

"The owners cannot be found, so - I doubt that anyone would be looking to work there"
What don't you like about working at Infinite Technology Group?
"The CEO and President closed their doors suddenlybecauce they spent all the money"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"do not spend all the money & leave all employees with no last pay, etc."
What do you like about working at Tektronix?
"I really enjoyed the people I worked with and for. My supervisor John Tony was a great guy to work for. I dont think Ill ever have a better manager than him. My co-workers were equally as awesome. The job was challenging and I learned lots of things about Test & Measurement equipment. The money was decent and I am saddened that due to forces outside of my control, I was one of several people laid off."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Tektronix is a great company to get started in to gain experience. If you are looking for job stability, this is not the place to be. Every quarter they lay people off. Other than that, its a great place to work. The people are nice and helpful."
What don't you like about working at Tektronix?
"The most difficult part of working at Tektronix was seeing the after-effect of the Danaher acquisition. In 2007, Danaher purchased Tektronix. Things changed for many of the employees who had been working there for years. Less money was spent on innovation and Tektronix began losing much of the market share that they had historically dominated. Even though I joined in 2010, many employees still gripe about the takeover. The worst thing was seeing how many long-term employees have been let go due to cuts. I eventually became one who was cut too."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Tektronix is losing their historical dominance of the market. The Danaher model of growth through attrition is not a sustainable business model and at some point its going to crack. A company cannot survive unless it is technologically equivalent to its competition. We had lost sales because the competition is better in our customers eyes. Invest in innovation and that market share can return. Continue down the path of growth through attrition and the company will fail."

"Have a positive attitude, communicate, listen and be open minded."

"Small, family type environment. Everyone works well together and works really hard to help the company succeed."

"Need better technology tools, more opportunities for advancement, better bonus'."

"Everyone supports everyone and feedback is welcomed. People are openly awarded for their accomplishments. I also liked the CEO and CTO (owners)."

"Ask questions and be aware that there is little room for growth at this point."
What don't you like about working at NetWrix?
"After 13 months the CEO and CTO (owners) eliminated my position in favor of a Sr. VP. Odd, because the previous VP was let go within a matter of weeks while I continued to lead the charge."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Don't be afraid to stretch yourselves for the growth of the business - sometimes it looks like you're losing when actually I was setting you up for future successes and stability."

"Yes, please realize that when you are applying that will be the job you are in for the duration of your employment."

"There is little room to grow within the sales functionality because it is a small company."

"Hire from within the company so that there is room to grow"

"I liked the freedom to complete my job in a friendly environment. Competition in our sales group was with each not competing against each other. Everyone had their own clients."

"Be yourself and never forget to own up to your mistakes if you had any in the past"

"After the company was sold the management structure changed and the CEO micro managed the whole company."
