"It was great fun working to get the union functioning. I met some great people there and did have a chance to hold several lectures. I liked being able to take courses at Harvard at greatly reduced prices and the courses that were part of the job were also useful."

"I liked the international community. Every day I met people form all over the world. I wasn't educated enough at 17 to be able to converse that much with them in their languages. They all spoke English so it was never a problem."
