First Federal is a financial institution that offers a variety of different services to clients on the east coast. First Federal is headquartered in South Carolina and operates over sixty-six different branches. Founded in 1934, the company opened their first office in Charleston. First Federal is a subsidiary of First Financial Holding Inc.

Some of First Federal’s branches are located in the Charleston Metropolitan area, Georgetown, Horry, Beaufort and Florence counties in South Carolina and Brunswick, Pender and New Hanover counties in the coastal area of North Carolina. The bank currently maintains over $3.2 billion in assets.
