"Insurance companies are very good at money, but not that strong in sales and marketing. This position - company hadn't even developed a value proposition for what they were putting on the street. But, couldn't understand why sales lagged."

"Learn sales, train sales agents on sales fundamentals as well as technical aspects of their products. Develop a 30 second elevator presentatopn that describes the value proposition, and differentiates the company and its products."

"It was a family run place with a good focus on the employee. Free group lunch every other Friday, with prize for Employee of the Month. Lots of sales bonus programs"

"They don't tell you about the calling requirements up front. Be sure you really know what is expected from you."
What don't you like about working at Microlease?
"Having to make 30+ call per day to ask prospects to order. Not competitive for the high end business. Unrealistic quota. Very little start-up assistance."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Too much of it for a small company. It would be better to set up more informal mentoring relationships. Decide if you really want to go after the larger strategic business and then do it, but stop talking about it."
