"Your managers may be great. But, they still have to report to those above them. If your manager reports to people who 'just don't get it', they can only be so effective..."
What don't you like about working at Technical Consumer Products?
"The company is near bankruptcy all of the time. Pay is late, or short, regularly. Any company can promise you something, but if you deliver by meeting or exceeding quota and they stiff you when it's payday--- frequently---that's just bad news."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Stop micro-managing your sales staff, so that they can produce even more than you expect in the way of sales, reduce your overhead, and put you in a position where you won't be constantly running in the red. You waste precious dollars when you waste employee's time. Be honest with your staff and your customers about your supply problems."
What do you like about working at Electrolux?
"Making lasting relationships with customers and growing their business. Earning the trust of new customers."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"It is a great company to work for. The main issue (in my position as a DM) is that the trend of the appliance business is more and more moving to the big box retailers. The independent retailers are having a tougher time surviving and competing."
What don't you like about working at Electrolux?
"There are certain clicks within the company where favoritism is shown."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Look closely at expense reports. We are told that we are the CEO of our territory. Some take advantage of the freedoms of the job for personal gratification."
