"Value employees more, give us an actual retreat instead of cookies when we make goal. Listen to our opinions."

"Ask to meet with the staff separately from management. Ask them how employees are encouraged and empowered to do their work."

"My boss lied to me. She was mean. She used blame and shame strategies to get me to make changes. She was ignorant."

"Implement transformational leadership where decisions are made by the people who implement the activities. Leadership would have integrity, transparency, and accountability. Leadership would have demonstrated and sincere respect for employees."

"I really didn't have anything I didn't like, it was a very fulfilling and enjoyable job."

"Be a little more supportive during the lay-off process; it felt very robotic and was a complete shock to find out it was happening."
