Commercial Lines Underwriter at United Fire Group
in Galveston, TX

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"United Fire Group was a good place to work for. Management and location caused them to need to downsize."

What do you like about working at United Fire Group?

"I enjoyed working with the agents/brokers, employees and customers."

What don't you like about working at United Fire Group?

"The company seemed to try to keep the hierarchy of employees separated. I had an assistant who I love to work with and always tried to make sure she felt she was no less of a person or an employee than I was. I really tried to make sure we felt as a team and I feel that was part of my downfall. I felt all positions were important in order to have a good relationship with our customers (agents/brokers and insured's)."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Please remember all positions are important in order to review, issue and quote accounts."
