"I moved up from stuffing envelopes, filing, mail distribution, weekly inventory to data entry."

"I have good experience by doing entry level work in the fulfillment department."

"The managers have forced me to sit in a very overcrowded chaotic cubical."

"I wanted to be in charge in the fulfillment department but I could not."

"Train your employees better and delicate everyone's time better. Lazy now a days"

What do you like about working at ABF Security?
"Local management is positive, honest, straightforward. There is good cooperation among co-workers."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Ask lots of questions. They won't volunteer anything. Do your homework about their competitors and make an informed decision about whether you want to work here. You will be a more dedicated employee in the long run and ABF will get the message that a change in management does not automatically mean they will get the best workers in the industry."
What don't you like about working at ABF Security?
"There are NO corporate training procedures. I've seen many different hires since I started working here and you have to figure things out for yourself and rely on the kindness of co-workers to share best techniques. Management does not train as a rule, but it's dependent upon the individual at your location."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Invest in training at all levels. Local customers want to talk to local people they can get to know, but the sales structure encourages customers to go to corporate sources for quotes, billing, or transit issues. Get real. Local customers will always prefer local service contact. Train us, please! Send us to the corporate office. Expose us to the larger company vision. It will pay off for the company in higher employee morale, company pride in the work force, and employee retention."

"It provided us with insurance and steady a income, also many of my co-workers were pretty cool."

"Keep your guard up, especially if you're applying for a staffing position. Ask to see where you'll be working, check people out and most of all trust your gut."
What don't you like about working at Andrews Kurth?
"Management of the staffing departments. It's among the worst places to work in Houston. Those people are the most self-absorbed, unprofessional, kiss up and kick down, unethical people I've ever worked with in my life."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Sack admin management, or at least monitor them MUCH more carefully. For potential replacements any junior high kid could do a better job at managing those departments, believe me."

"very little. Nice co-workers and boss. Did our best under budget pressures."

"in a word Don't unless you like public service for little pay."

"Poor promotional options. Old equipment, older software. customers were literally criminals."

"modernize systems and get with the 20th century. I know it's 21st now but at least USE the computer for more than a typewriter!"

"the government is a reasonable employer, able to meet needs."

"it was luck of the draw that I got interviewed. I applied long before my application got pulled."

"the technology is middle of the road, the position did not last long enough, even though I was kept on til the end."

"Management is ultimately the president, and I think he should be chucked from office"

"benefits, some staff are nice to work with, flexible work time"

"The benefits might be great but you will be very unhappy working here. Look at the turnover rate."

"No communication, self-centered employees/managers, micromanaged, no one wants to work"

"More staff in most departments, listen to my co-workers, communicate!"

"I like my co-workers. I also enjoy the opportunity to do planograms and I enjoy organizing stock."

"Don't tell people that they will get a raise after so many hours when they dont."

"The pay sucks. There is no opportunity for advancement or full-time."

"I would show appreciation to all employees who are on the front lines. I would ensure that each store has the hours needed in order to keep good standards and give great customer serice."
