"Cisco was overall a good company to work for. Though they were overly eager to use contractors, which meant a lack of benefits, they had a great company culture and an environment of openness and acceptance of all diverse cultures, beliefs, etc. However, the company has the worst physical and digital organization I've ever seen. This could be simply the department I was working with, but document storage and retrieval was very convoluted. Also, communication needs improvement."
"I worked in backbone TAC and HTTS for 2.5 years, supporting the software products that manage all the various technologies and products Cisco sells. This is a thankless task, constantly apologizing for Cisco and their terrible software products. Although I excelled at this, took twice the caseload of the others and assisted helping my teammates taking the most collaborations, this wasn't enough to get to a salary range that I'd expect in any major city. Kudos for a good place to self study."
"I've worked for Cisco Systems Inc for more than 8 years and am currently employed there. I love the company culture and ethics. It's a very strong company with great employee satisfaction. The company can improve on incorporating StartUp culture in delivering Software Products."
"It's a good company, but the people in high level management has to make a lot of tough decisions. No protection for new hires."
"I have been with Cisco since 2011. It has been a great opportunity to work with Cisco with so many talented people."
"I've worked in Cisco systems for more than 1 year. Basically, I like the project I am working on. It requires lots of my creativity and critical thinking. From the project, I have learnt a lot, not only on the technology side, but also about how to communicate with others, especially in a global working environment. The con of the company is that there are lots of politics in the decision making, which really annoys engineers."
"Cisco good for exposure and experience. NetApp and SAS better overall for employees and benefits."
"I work as a contractor for Cisco Systems Inc via Apex Systems and my experience has not been an overly positive one. LOW pay, terrible benefits, and zero PTO. My experience within Cisco has been positive, just not with the contractor. Apex Systems."
"Cisco is a fantastic company and treats its employees well"
"interesting place to work"
"Cisco is an excellent place to work and has allowed me to greatly improve myself. I've been given many opportunities for growth and development in myself, and have always felt like they cared."
"Cisco Systems is an excellent place to work. The job and people I interacted with were exceptional. I really appreciated Cisco's commitment to a green environment. The pay, however, was not so good, partly because I was working as a contractor through Wipro"
"Cisco is a great place to work."
