"I would like to continue working for this company but my contract comes to the end."

"Give employees more challenge, trust more, do not be afraid to give people multiple tasking."

"Management gave us a lot of autonomy to design and implement our own solutions."

"Be flexible and don't be afraid to ask for help from your coworkers."

What don't you like about working at Boeing?

"I lost my job due to a reduction in force due to decreasing government contracts and it was hard to transition into a new area since Boeing Sunnyvale/Mt. View was a very small facility. I would have had to relocate to another Boeing facility and I was not willing to do so."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I wish management supported more fully telecommuting between facilities rather than wanting all work groups to be colocated."

What do you like about working at Boeing?

"Dependable work place, provided a lot of new technology to work with. Ability to implement new ideas if they proved to add value in some way."

"Don't waste your time, if you get hired it's only temporary."

What don't you like about working at Boeing?

"You have no job security, they fire people left and right, good and bad, makes no difference. They fire Alan Mullay, he was not good enough for CEO. So he goes to Ford and is rated Top CEO of the year by Forbes."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"At Boeing, whenever they run into cost problems they fire people in droves until the numbers look good. That is a CEO decision, not a managerial one. I had a good manager (who was also let go), unfortunately the leadership at Boeing is not very good and has a high turnover rate, they have had 4 CEO's in the last 10 years."

What do you like about working at Boeing?

"Boeing is a diverse company even though it focuses on aircraft technology. IT had a lot of opportunities before 2006."

"You must show a positive attitude. Everyone understands you may be fresh, but show you have confidence in your ability to learn new tasks."

What don't you like about working at Boeing?

"The company's size contributes to the vastness of the jobs. It will take time to learn different things."

"Create more jobs so we can get back to work!"

"Do it. Their culture is very friendly professionally and personally."

"The decision making process took too long and too many people were involved in major decisions."

"Quick decisions give people clarity in how to proceed. It is hard to make major decisions when there is risk involved, but a decision either way will make work easier."

"Remember payment comes in may forms. When you see an Apache fly overhead you will understand."

"Large company downfall is the time it takes to make changes that make them better, lean and cost effective."

"None, they use what they have to do the jobs they need to do."

"I truly do not know what to say about this section. except to try their best."

"Not much way for improvements. Needed more levels for engineer to climb the ladder."

"Needs more training, more time to get to know the needs of their employees."

"A great deal of silo thinking with little collaboration and the red tape!"

"Cross train your team members to promote collaboration and prevent group think."

"The creative environment and the people. Facilities can be great depending on what program one is working for."

"Get your foot in the door and then move around."

"Politics and favoritism at times. Micro-management can be encountered in some areas."

"Honesty and open communication from top down and vice versa."

"I was hoping to work on the GPS III effort, it never came."

"Not too much. I pretty much just present what I can do for the effort."

"A group of former members of Loral Aeronutronics made the transition back in 1998 and controlled the comm. engr effort they had no background in causing all kinds of issues."

"Get people that have worked in the technical areas they are managing."

"Great place to gain experience and a fair amount of job security but not a place to advanced based upon your creativity and skill."

"Stagnant senior management with almost exclusive focus on promoting engineers to executive management."

"To be competitive and attract the best talent, there should be more emphasis on improving the culture."

"Company is closing or moving as many California programs as they can."

"Company restructuring moves need to be shared with all levels of management."

"They do not sponsor work permits. They prefer consultants than full time employees."

"They should realize talent and work effort more efficiently and cut down internal politics."

"Boeing is a great company and I am still submitting to postings for it even though they are out of state. I would work for them again without hesitation."

"Know your subject and be ready for the interview. They send out information on their structured interview so read it and prepare accordingly."

"The only negative is that they seem to have given up staying in California. Then again who can blame them."

"Boeing is a well run company. I would have no suggestions regarding changing the work or management environment."
