"BMO Harris was good to people to work with. There was a time when BMO Harris made their own decisions with little involvement from Canadian parent company. Those were the most successful times of BMO Harris. There were great people to work with and for, management seemed to have clear vision. As management shifted to Canadian leadership, the environment changed. It is hard to make an impact when leadership is not constantly around. The culture in the United States has become very paranoid, thinking jobs will be eliminated because of the involvement of Canadians."

"I've worked for the company of 19 years. Harris was a solid company to work for. Through the years management changed, making it from a interactive "fun" culture to a very strict culture. The Canadians decided to have more influence over US positions and this has caused some concerns about job security and stability. They fail to realize that the US is not a Canada, things are done differently here. They should keep US management and only manager from afar as consultants not as direct decision makers."
