"My previous pay was commissioned based as a draw for Div 8 & 10 materials supply/install. At Omega Door I had a base draw of $60,000 when I started and $75,000 when I left. After the draw was satisfied we earned a commission of 6% of invoiced sales quarterly. Final sales numbers at Omega were 1.7mil for the year at approx 30% Gross Profit. Work/Pay at Kenton Brothers & Design Supply were both similar in nature. All based on Cradle to Grave sales where the sales person estimated, detailed, and managed the project from beginning to end.
Unfortunately my time at Benchmark was short (less than a year) and due to the complications associated with the company i mentioned in the review I don't know how I compared to others in the field.
To your question below on offered more....It's never happened. I do think that money is important (ranks right up there with air for breathing), but that in and of itself as a reason to change jobs seems a bit superficial to me. I also think if you have a guy/gal knocking it out of the park it's best to reward the effort when the effort is noted."
