"I Started working with Benchmark Construction after selling doors, frames & hardware to them over the years. My contact at the company transitioned away as they closed the office in Manhattan, KS and I continued to work with them as they tried to find the "right fit" for the company in the sales roll. I talked with them about the possibility of joining them after a couple of recent hires had fallen through. It was a bit of a change careerwise but nothing I didn't feel like I could adapt to. Unfortunately after starting they lost the capability to bid on public projects due to bonding issues, released the field staff that were working on projects & and struggled to pay vendors on released work. Faced with the ethical issue of continuing to bid work with contractors that were not getting paid or looking for something new I chose to look for something new. I wish them the best. Harbor no ill will to the company and do hope they find a way to solve the debt issue that has lead up to the current problems at hand. I am looking for a stable, and growing environment that rewards employees based on efforts and accomplishments."
