Azusa Pacific University, also known as APU, is an inter-denominational Christian private university. Located in Azusa, California, APU has committed their university to excellence in higher education. Founded in 1899 and named the Training School for Christian Workers, it is known as the first religious school to be established on the west coast. In 1981, the college was then renamed Azusa Pacific University. APU operates a number of regional campuses throughout the southern California area.
