"The equipment we had was out of date. Getting what we needed to finish the job was a major issue at times."

"Listen more to the Marines that were getting the job done."

"The traveling was good. Got to work with a lot of cool stuff and see a lot of cool things."

"Only look at the military if you are willing to have no say over what you can do with your life."

"Always being away from my family. The lack of control I had over my life."

"Sad to say there is not much that can be said for the management."

"Coming up with creative solutions to problems in time sensitive situations."

"You absolutely must play politics. Once you are above E-6 your primary job does not matter. Ignore it and play politics like a professional."

"Constantly monitored by superiors. Not many possibilities for disciplining under performers."

"Encourage personal responsibility instead of holding managers accountable for their subordinates off-work behavior."

"My growth is limited. After 13 years of service, I am still in middle management and would like the opportunity to continue to move up the ladder."

"Get to know the people that you manage. Allow for proper leadership by knowing what motivates each individual person."

"I was trained in the Navy as an electronics technician and advanced training in calibration."

"No girls. No freedom. Work all day every day, no place to go."

"No suggestions here. The rules are very clear and you must follow the rules."
