"This place has no idea where it is going. We are stuck in a dysfunctional situation, that we've failed to manage well in the past decade and don't have any new ideas for managing now. There is little willingness by leadership to take charge of a problem and fix it."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Use my authority and make decisions. I would restructure the entire organization to put a full time person in charge, rather than the current decentralized authority structures."

"Be yourself. Always be yourself. Your personality, traits and views will always come out eventually. Be real."

What don't you like about working at American Express?

"At the time, the pay was a bit low and I left for a higher paying job. I do regret making that change, knowing now what I know."

"It's been so many years, it's hard to say. My personal manager was great, an open communicator, wiling to listen and was a good mentor."
